Winton 2.2m Hydraulic Offset Tractor Flail Mower W‑HF220

The W-HF220 is the largest mower in Winton's hydraulic-offset flail family. At 2.2m it clears big paddocks, orchard alleys and estate verges in noticeably fewer passes than the smaller siblings, and the hydraulic side-shift lets you reach under hedgerows or around trees without dropping a wheel into the cut.

Built for 40–70 HP tractors

This is the heaviest machine in the range at 500 kg, mounted on Cat 1 three-point linkage and PTO driven through 4 belts to the rotor shaft. Smaller compacts won't drive it — match it to a tractor with the lift capacity and PTO to suit.

Overgrowth one week, finer finish the next

36 hammer-style flails sit in a spiral pattern around the rotor. They bite through tall grass, weeds and light scrub, and when the same deck is run regularly over managed grass at the 3 cm setting it leaves a fine finish suitable for sports field margins or larger lawns.

Height control and ground-following

Cutting height adjusts from 3–8 cm via the rear roller and twin skids. The roller also helps the mower ride uneven ground without scalping — useful where a rotary topper would gouge.
