DescriptionWhy buy the Winton W‑VF145 Flail Mower?
The W-VF145 is the wider head in Winton's hydraulic-offset flail range. Same offset-and-tilt geometry as the narrower W-VF sibling, but a heavier flail and gearbox spec — aimed at compact tractors at the upper end of the 25–45 HP band that need to clear more verge per pass.
Reaches where the tractor can't go
The head shifts hydraulically to the right of the wheelbase and tilts 90° up or 50° down. That covers the verge beside the road, the bank dropping into a ditch, and the side of a lower hedgerow — all from the cab. Tilt it vertical to trim hedge sides. Offset it past a trunk to mow around trees without lifting out.
Cuts rough, then finishes fine
Hammer flails in a spiral on a cylindrical rotor bite into overgrown grass and weeds on the first pass. Come back on regular cuts and the same flails leave a finer finish than a topper would on the same ground. The rear roller and twin height-adjustable skids hold the cut even over uneven verges and stop the blades scalping.
Before you order
This mower needs two double-acting spools on the tractor to drive the four hoses — one pair for offset, one for tilt. Check your hydraulics before ordering. Offset is right-hand only. The mower ships part-assembled; the A-frame and extension arm fit on at your end.

Review Your Winton W‑VF145
The mower is tough enough for the job
I purchased the Winton WVF130 to manage a steeply terraced 3 acre vineyard. It has proved to be a reliable and successful way to manage the terraces and the mower is tough enough for the job.
