Tractor Compatibility Guide
Before purchasing an attachment, it’s essential to make sure your tractor is compatible. Fortunately, Tractor Armoury makes it simple to check.
Check the Tractor HP Range
Every tractor-mounted product we sell includes a recommended Tractor HP Range. If your tractor falls within this horsepower range, it will almost always be compatible. This is the most important factor when choosing equipment.
The recommended horsepower range is the result of testing by the manufacturer across a wide variety of tractors. It takes into account everything from PTO shaft type and linkage category, to lifting capacity, engine power, and tractor weight. In short, it wraps up all the complexity into one simple range. If your tractor fits within that range, you're typically good to go.

3-Point Linkage Types
Most compact tractors use a standardised 3-point linkage. If your linkage category is different from the machine’s, it’s usually resolved by swapping link pins or using a bushing.
Learn more about this on our Tractor Linkage Types page.
PTO Shaft Types
Most compact tractors use a Type 1 PTO shaft (35mm, 6 splines, 540 RPM). If your tractor uses a different type, an adapter sleeve may be all you need.
See our full breakdown on the Tractor PTO Types page.
Hydraulic Connections
Some machines require hydraulic hoses. These usually come with standard quick-release couplings, but if your tractor has older or non-standard fittings, you may need to fit adapters.
