Hydraulic offset mowing for 30-55 HP compact tractors

Shift the deck sideways from the seat and bite into hedge bottoms and fencelines while the tractor holds cleaner ground. The Winton W‑HF175 suits smallholders, estate managers and groundsmen on a compact tractor, clearing uneven boundary work in fewer laps than a centre-mounted deck.

DescriptionWhy buy the Winton W‑HF175 Flail Mower?

The W-HF175 is the mid-width model in Winton's hydraulic-offset flail range. Wide enough to clear paddocks and orchard rows at a sensible pace, but still inside what a 30–55 HP Cat 1 compact tractor can carry and offset cleanly.

Reach into the rough without moving the tractor

The hydraulic A-frame shifts the head sideways on one double-acting spool and two hoses. Hedge bottoms, fencelines and the awkward ground around trees come into reach while the tractor stays on firmer footing. For boundary work on uneven ground, that is the difference between a clean pass and a stop-start crawl.

Heavier flails, finer finish when you want it

Twenty-eight hammer blades sit in a spiral pattern on the rotor. They handle overgrown grass and weeds, and — used regularly on shorter grass — leave a finer cut suited to larger lawns or paddock tops. A rear roller and twin height-adjustable skids set the 3–8 cm cut and keep the deck off the ground on bumps and hollows.

  • Hydraulic offset A-frame as standard — 1 double-acting spool, 2 hoses
  • 1.75m working width, sized for 30–55 HP Cat 1 compact tractors
  • 28 hammer blades in a spiral around the rotor
  • 3–8 cm cutting range, adjusted via rear roller and two skids
  • Belt-driven rotor with 3 drive belts, PTO powered
  • Heavy-duty gearbox
  • Lower linkage width 77–92 cm, weight 350 kg
  • Mounts to the three-point linkage of small and compact tractors

WHF175 1.75m Hydraulic Tractor Flail Mower - bought to replace a cheap Chinese version. This one is stronger and better built. Deals with thick clumped grass plus all the thistles with ease. Reliable piece of equipment at a reasonable price.

First impressions an excellent machine

The purchase procedure was entirely straightforward and delivery on time. The WFH175 has performed very well in early outings and shows promise for the future but time will tell on resilience. The hydraulic side shift is well worth the extra money. Very pleased with this purchase.

Our WHF175 has been working perfectly

Our WHF175 has been working perfectly since it arrived in May 2022. We use it regularly to maintain our 4 acres of grass and it cuts and rolls well. The side shift has also proved very useful for edging near to fencing and when overhanging drainage ditches.

The 1.75m hydraulic offset mower we…

The 1.75m hydraulic offset mower we bought in March has worked hard through this year without an issue. Asking it to clear scrubland including mature bramble has not been a problem to it. The belts have finally given up mid job, but getting replacements from Zaros has been 100% painfree - the service fast and efficient. In a year when service always seems to be on the backfoot, Zaros are exemplary.

Great Flail mower . The process of purchase was so easy. After a quick shortening of the pto shaft we were ready to go. It tackles anything and the shift is especially helpful for under trees and hedges

I have used Flail Mower all through this summer to take care of 4 acres of grass. Really pleased with the mower. It leaves a nice clean cut that’s close to ground. Been reliable and also well built. The side shift feature is really good for getting close to edge of field, my last mower didn’t have this feature. I would give it 5 out of 5.
