Narrow mowing for 16-25 HP sub-compact tractors
Knock down brambles and rough pasture with 16 hammer-style flails that leave a finer chop than a topper. At 1.05m, the Winton W‑FB105 suits smallholders running a sub-compact tractor on tighter paddocks where a wider deck would bog or skip over the ground.
DescriptionWhy buy the Winton W‑FB105 Flail Mower?
If your tractor sits at the lower end of the power range, the Winton W-FB105 is the W-FB to look at. At 1.05m it's the smallest in the family, rated for 16-25 HP, and it slips through paddock gates wider decks won't clear. Belt-driven from the PTO, with 3 belts running power to the rotor shaft.
Finer chop on rough ground
16 hammer-style flails ride a cylindrical rotor and bite into brambles, weeds and tougher pasture growth. The cut comes out finer than a topper leaves it, and the mower handles uneven ground far better — useful on smallholdings where the surface isn't billiard-table flat.
Cut height and scalp control
Twin height-adjustable skids set the cut between 3 cm and 8 cm. The rear roller adjusts up or down alongside the top link to fine-tune the mower angle, so you hold a clean line over rises and dips without the blades catching dirt.

Review Your Winton W‑FB105
I would recommend the WFB125 flail mower to anybody, It's a fantastic bit of kit to have and easy to operate.
Great service
Good price Great delivery
I’ve used this Flail to cut our 6.5 acres a couple of times now, if I leave it too long between cuts then some parts of the field have a type of grass/reed that will wrap around the flail and stall the mower burning out the belts very quickly - so attention when using is required! – I’ve hit multiple rocks and the mower has coped with these no problem. All in all 4 out of 5, very happy price vs. performance, just wish I got a wider one!
I have only used the flail a handful of times since I bought it but so far it seems to work very well. Having said that, it hasn’t been worked hard so time will tell but so far I think it is a good piece of equipment for a reasonable price.
