Winton 0.85m Sub-Compact Tractor Flail Mower W‑FA085

The Winton W-FA085 is the narrow option in the W-FA flail range. Its 0.85m deck is built for smallholders, vineyard and orchard operators who need to thread between trunks and posts — and who are running sub-compact tractors in the 12–20 HP bracket rather than a full compact.

Why the 0.85m width matters

Most flails start wider than this. At 85 cm working width, the W-FA085 clears rows that a wider topper rides over or damages. The 30 Y-blades sit in a spiral pattern on the rotor, so the cut stays even as you work along uneven pasture or between trees, and the finer chop drops back into the sward rather than windrowing.

Sized for genuinely small tractors

At 110 kg the mower is light enough for a sub-compact's three-point linkage to handle without the front end going hollow. It runs from the PTO through belt drive to the rotor shaft. Fitment is Cat 1, with a lower linkage width of 45–70 cm — worth measuring on your tractor before ordering.

Cutting height control

Two height-adjustable skids set the cut between 3 and 8 cm. The rear roller adjusts up or down with the top link to change the deck angle, which is what stops the blades scalping when the ground rolls.
