Sinking fence posts by hand around a paddock is a long day. The WHB06 mounts on the back of a 20-50 HP compact tractor and turns that job into a steady walk down the line — drop the auger, drill, lift, shift on. The 15 cm bore is the everyday size for stock and paddock fence posts.

The 6-inch job

The 15 cm auger is the middle option in the WHB family, and the one smallholders reach for most. It bites quicker than the 9" and 12" siblings, which earn their keep on gateposts and strainers. For a run of paddock fencing with line posts every few metres, 15 cm matches standard timber and keeps the pace up.

Depth that holds through winter

A 90 cm working depth puts the base of the post well below the UK frost line, giving stock fencing the anchorage it needs to stay tight through a wet season. Drill the full depth for strainers and corners; ease off for line posts where less will do.

One kit, ready to run

The WHB06 ships as a working outfit — auger, gearbox and PTO shaft in the box. Hitch it to the tractor, connect the PTO and drill. Nothing extra to source before the first hole.
