At 7 ft across the drum, the W-FR07 is the biggest roller Winton builds — sized for estates, equestrian yards and larger smallholdings where the narrower siblings would mean too many laps of the paddock.

Width and ballast that suit bigger ground

The 212 cm drum holds 390 litres of water, so weight is something you set rather than something you're stuck with. Empty it for reseeded ground that needs a light press. Fill it through the side bung and the roller works at 610 kg laden — the figure that matters when you're checking what the tractor has to tow.

Levelling after topping, harrowing or hoof traffic

Run it over paddocks once the mower or harrow has been through and it presses tussocks, hoof prints and tractor ruts back into the sward. The same drum firms soil-to-seed contact on reseeds, and keeps sand schools, gallops and pitches even through the season.

Service points you'll actually use

Greasable bearings and an adjustable scraper are the two things you'll touch regularly. Both are straightforward — grease gun, spanner, done. For winters where the drum stays filled, mix Winton Frost Blocker at 3:7 with the water (roughly 7 tubs) to stop it freezing solid.
