Very useful but could do with tipping more to enable muck to be emptied easier
Easy to manoeuvre
Trailer does its job. Easy to manoeuvre and to hitch to Garden Tractor. Tipping mechanism bolt is stiff need to wear gloves to protect my hands.
Absolutely love my plastic trailer
Absolutely love my plastic trailer, fantastic in the summer for putting behind our quad for poo picking the fields
Well-built trailer and very easy to handle
Well-built trailer and very easy to handle. The lifting handle is useful. Load to weight ratio is very good. Could do with a few drain holes in the plastic body but that’s simple to sort out!
Solidly built, and I would recommend it
Yes the trailer works well, is solidly built, and I would recommend it. We use it for leaves, logs, compost, etc Happy to give it a 5 out of 5
The build quality is great
The trailer is excellent. The build quality is great and it’s become a must have in the garden when moving items around. I would give it 5 out of 5 and happily recommend it to friends if they needed one.
Excellent all round
Excellent all round, from quicker than expected to courteous delivery. Thank you
I would highly recommend this trailer
I appreciate your request for a genuine review now I’ve had time to use the trailer, unlike most companies who auto email a request two minutes after purchase. From my experience I would highly recommend this trailer. It has been abused and overfilled with logs, rubble, garden waste, etc. on many occasions and has taken it all in its stride. It’s definitely worth 5/5?
Very pleased with the trailer
Very pleased with the trailer. Service and delivery excellent.
We have been very pleased with the trailer
We have been very pleased with the trailer, and have put it to good use in various ways including moving logs, helping with fence repairs, and even rounding up manure from the paddock. It seems pretty robust and I like the extra volume (deeper body) than you get with standard smaller trailers. The only minor issue is that the bolts and washers at the base of the body have corroded somewhat due to some water lying at the bottom. Overall I would rate it 4 to 5.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, John. That will be the manure that's corroded the bolts and washers! Typically, horse muck will take much longer to erode through the galvanised finish of the bolts, and anyone buying this trailer solely for horse muck has nothing to worry about. However, if rough and heavy material (bricks, concrete, etc.) scuffs the galvanised layer off, then corrosion from horse muck may occur. I expect these bolts to last for many years, but we will ship more out should they ever become a problem for you.
It has proved robust and operated well
The Trailer has been excellent for the intended use - moving items around a small holding. It has proved robust and operated well over the last few years. I would recommend it for similar use and rate it 5 star.
Trailer is excellent. Robust and versatile

all that I required
I purchased a garden tractor trailer at…
I purchased a garden tractor trailer at very good price. Ordered easily on line and delivery was exactly as arranged. Avery pleased with the trailer.
Just took delivery of my trailer and it looks great. Thanks for an excellent service.
Yes the trailer has performed well. Great flotation tyres that avoid getting bogged and rutting the ground. Good carrying capacity and tipping function. Yes I would recommend it. I would rate it at 4 out of 5. Not 5 as slight concern about the robustness of the plastic body and potential risk of splitting.

We're pleased to hear the trailer has performed well for you. The body is made from a tough, tear-resistant plastic, and it's reinforced with steel in key stress areas to ensure durability. While it’s not designed for heavy impact loads like bricks being dropped from height, under normal use it should provide many years of reliable service.
We have used the trailer extensively behind a Gator for hauling feedstuffs, collecting wood-chip, carrying fencing materials etc. and for clearing leaves and fallen branches etc in the autumn. It is ideal for these jobs and leaves little if any footprint.

I have only had it for a few weeks. For now, it's a very handy bit of kit, and I am pleased. It was very expensive, but not more so than rivals, and I did a lot of research. The plastic body is dead handy, though a wee bit thin. I worry it could be a bit thicker, so I am laying a mat on the base in case a wayward log splits it. It is very well balanced and handy to move around. I guess the acid test is: would I buy another? Yes, I would.

No problems delivered on time/early exactly goods were exactly as it said on the tin All good
I would recommend it to others
I think the Trailer is great just a quick issue. I wish the tub was mounted slightly higher above the axles. This would mean that when it was tipped then there would be an angle from the back of the tub to the ground rather than it lying flat on the ground. This would make it considerably easier to empty when it is full of material. I realise this would raise the centre of gravity slightly but this would be a small sacrifice in order to empty more readily. I would recommend it to others and give it a 4 out of 5. If the above issue was sorted then it would be a strong 5.

Hi William, your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we have relayed it to the engineers for consideration in future products. The current design is built for ease of fill and ease of empty. Each design has pros and cons, but the LCPTP is low enough to the ground to allow you to easily lift your shovel over the edges. It only takes a little additional height for this to become troublesome!
The SCH QPTP 500kg trailer has been brilliant
The SCH QPTP 500kg trailer has been brilliant, low pressure wide tyres go anywhere causing no damage and with huge capacity. Current rating 5/5, whether I feel that way if I get a puncture, I will let you know but haven’t had one yet!

The trailer has been most satisfactory
The trailer has been most satisfactory - a slight comment - reaching down to the tow bar and lift g off in Howard motion is not easy , we find lifting up the draw bar aids this process, but I an sure that is not what you intended
I have recommended the trailer to friends
We have been regularly using both trailers on the farm and are very satisfied with the purchase. The plastic bucket trailer is our preferred one as it accommodates a wide range of loading materials - including warm water from the tap: our little daughter and her friends are always super excited to be driven around the field in their mobile swimming pool!!! I have recommended the trailer to friends.
Needed a sturdy trailer for our ATV for works around our land etc. Found the SCH trailer and thought it looked like the best option for us. Large enough to accommodate lots of load. Branches, logs or general waste that needs moving about the land. Also, the plastic was a good choice for us as we are down in Cornwall where the winters are damp and very wet so didn’t want it to rust. No complaints with it really. Great bit of kit and would buy again if I needed to. 5/5
It happily carries a good load
The trailer is very good is some respects, it happily carries a good load, and the tyres let it float over the ground beautifully with little resistance, that's a great help in moving loads over soft ground. It seems to be lightly built, but this has not so far been a problem. There are two things which could be improved though. The easiest would be to alter the tipping lock so that it could be easily undone as the skip is tilted. As it is, you have to bend down to release it at the same time you need to stand up to lift the front of the body to tip it. Especially difficult with a heavy load. Secondly, if the load isn't light or dry, it is very difficult to empty. It's not an uncommon problem with similar trailers, but, when the skip is tipped, although the main part is well tilted, the rear section hardly slopes at all so it prevents the bulk of the load emptying itself. I find it usually has to be shovelled out which can be hard work and is definitely disappointing. Hinged falling sides would make the job easier but of course it would increase the price. The solution isn't straightforward, but would probably involve moving the skip and pivot point higher. Though this would raise the centre of gravity, the fact that the whole thing is very wide would reduce any problems arising. So, the machine has been of limited success and in certain circumstances I would recommend it, but for heavy work I would not, so I would give it 3 out or 5, though getting to full marks would not be difficult.

Thank you for your feedback, Dave. Loading the trailer body as evenly as possible is the primary way to overcome tipping difficulties. The pivot point is roughly central, so if the weight is balanced (or even slightly rear-heavy), then the lifting force from yourself is at a minimum. I appreciate that this isn't always possible, but it's helpful to keep in mind. Hinged sides require an entirely different style of trailer. For those after a hinged-side tipping trailer, look at the GWTS10 or GWTS15, also built by SCH.
It has made life so much easier
The 500kg capacity trailer: Value for money, saves doing the tasks over and over again with smaller capacity trailers , it has made life so much easier.
I have been using the product daily
I have been using the product daily since it's arrival and would recommend this product to all' giving it a 5 out of 5, thank you again for the amazing service you have provided me
We love the trailer!!
We love the trailer!! Since owning it we have put it to good use transporting items like Hay, topsoil, horse feed and even helping our builders by using it to transport heavy wooden flooring packs over a grassy area. The Trailer is super sturdy and lives outside in all weathers. Would certainly recommend to your customers. Definitely a 5 out of 5 for this product.
It’s a lovely useful trailer
It’s a lovely useful trailer that we use as a muck trailer, but…… it doesn’t empty when you tip it and it’s very difficult and heavy getting everything out. It needs to be higher so that you can get a good tipping angle to it. If it was for branches or something light but bulky I think it would be fine.

Hi Karen, thank you for your feedback. When it comes to design choices, this is a difficult one! There are trailers with a pivot point closer to the rear, allowing for a near-vertical tipping angle, but the problem with these is that they are exceptionally heavy to tip. The pivot point of the LCPTP is central, meaning that (if loaded evenly) it is very easy to tip but can require the use of a rake to scrape the last bits out. The alternative is a hydraulic-powered muck trailer, which are fantastic machines, but much pricier! The LCPTP is the best value for money out there.
I would recommend it to anyone
The trailer has been excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. 5 out of 5.
