DescriptionWhy buy the SCH GWT415 Timber Trailer?
The trailer is clad with exterior faced 18mm plywood. The head board is fixed and the sides and tailgate are hinged and can be removed to make a platform trailer. The wide profile wheels being mounted under the chassis allow the sides to drop down unhindered and are fitted with bearings as standard.
The optional weather cover for the Wooden Sides is approximately L:75” x W:38” x L:15”, whereas the cover for the Wooden Sides & Extension Sides is approximately L:75” x W:38” X H:32”. The wood used for the trailer is a high-grade phenyl coated plywood which is very durable and weather resistant, and has a non-slip coating. The covers will extend the lifespan of the trailer for those living in wet regions where the trailers will be stored outdoors.
Please note: The mesh extension sides are an optional extra which may be purchased and fitted separately for additional carrying capacity.
Please Note: Self-fitting, some tools will be needed for the fitting of the extension sides.

The build quality is old skool heavy duty and will last a lifetime
This trailer is my second SCH trailer and won’t be my last. I have used it for a range of activities from hauling blocks and bulk bags, to moving large logs around. I have the side extension kits and find it brilliant. The build quality is old skool heavy duty and will last a lifetime. I want the tandem axle flat bed trailer in the fleet next.
I have recommended the trailer to friends
It is great for transporting larger boards and long logs. We now use it mostly for getting a baffled water tank to reforestation areas where newly planted trees need watering. Its dimensions are perfect for housing the 400 litre tank. The metal extension sides we ordered have never been used - probably never will. I have recommended the trailer to friends.
The trailer has proven to be a real asset
The trailer has proven to be a real asset. It is strong and robust round the garden and for DIY. I’ve used it for everything from garden waste and leaves (with the cage attachment) to moving rubble and building waste. I’ve even used it for the Christmas decorations after a quick hose down. The supplied hitch pin was also excellent. Only improvement I’d make is a pin to lock the steering for reversing but you get used to it after a while. Good purchase.

The trailer has been extremely useful as expected and very stable whatever the loading. It copes very well with our undulating landscape and is also easy to manoeuvre. The drop sides and extensions purchased make it a versatile and useful piece of kit.

The trailer has been very helpful and robust, with only one problem when one of the wooden-side catches broke quite early on in its life. So, out of 5 I would give 4. If the catch had not broken I would have given 5.

We are very pleased with this trailer and would recommend it
The trailer is very versatile, the 4 wheels allow us to we use the hand grips and pull it manually, we also attach to both our lawn tractor and compact tractor for heavier work around the grounds. With the swivel front axle, the turning circle is outstanding. We are very pleased with this trailer and would recommend it to anyone with a larger plot or small holding.
What I would really like is to be able to have it tipping!
What I would really like is to be able to have it tipping! But I don’t have a tractor with hydraulic oil to attach it to. If you could do one with a little petrol/electric motor that activated a hydraulic ram and made it a tipping trailer this would be great….or if I could geta kit to convert myself I would seriously look at this.
Hi Evan, a manual tipping version of this trailer, built by the same manufacturer, is the GWTS15, or an electric/manual hydraulic tipping option would be the HTRLE/HTRLM. While the above-mentioned SCH trailers have tipping facilities, they do not have four wheels or a turntable mechanism. The GWT415 is ideal when you want to manoeuvre the trailer by hand or use it disconnected from the towing vehicle.

Very useful trailer
Very useful trailer, the best I have owned, it as many years of work life in it. Would highly recommend for the garden, parks, livery yards and many other venues. It is strongly made and suitable for the roughest of jobs The Zaros Machinery were easy to deal with and delivery was excellent, would buy again from them, if they had what i was looking for
The trailer has been really useful and the perfect size for our needs. We had some initial issues with the latches but overall it is a solid little trailer. I’d give it a 4 out of 5
I'd recommend this to others.
