Pipe and cable burying for 15-35 HP compact tractors
Bury flexible water pipe or armoured cable up to 4.5 cm in a single pass. The Winton W‑RP01 ripper cuts the slot and the detachable chute feeds the pipe in behind it - built for smallholders and paddock owners running a compact tractor on services to outbuildings.
DescriptionWhy buy the Winton W‑RP01 Pipe Layer?
The Winton W-RP01 is a straightforward answer to a job most smallholders end up doing themselves: getting water pipe or armoured cable into the ground without hiring a trencher. The ripper opens the slot, the chute feeds the pipe in behind it, and you run the tyres over the line afterwards for a tidy finish.
Trenching and laying in one pass
Drop the linkage arms and drive forward slowly. The blade bites in, and flexible pipe or cable up to 4.5 cm diameter feeds down the chute into the slot as you go. Realistically you'll want a second pair of hands feeding pipe while you drive — that's the honest version. Maximum capacity depends on how flexible your pipe or cable actually is, so ring us if you're unsure.
Doubles as a stand-alone ripper
Pull the pipe-layer section off and the W-RP01 works as a plain subsoiler — useful for breaking compacted ground before drainage or fencing. Typical working depth is around 45 cm, with 60 cm available at maximum, depending on soil and tractor. Depth adjusts by unbolting the ripper sections and repositioning them.
Fit and upkeep
It hitches to the Cat 1 three-point linkage on most 15–35 HP compact tractors, with a 48 cm lower linkage width. The single blade is reversible when it wears, and replaceable when it's done — no need to bin the tool.
- Lays flexible pipe or armoured cable up to 4.5 cm diameter — call for guidance on stiffer cable
- Maximum working depth 60 cm, with 45 cm typical depending on soil and tractor
- Detachable pipe-layer chute — runs as a plain ripper when removed
- Suits compact tractors in the 15–35 HP range
- Depth changes by unbolting and repositioning the ripper sections
- Reversible, replaceable blade keeps running costs down
- 48 cm lower linkage width; 45 kg overall

Review Your Winton W‑RP01
I have utilised the pipe layer to sub soil by fields which have old pasture and was very compacted on the surface. I utilised my Kubota 44hp tractor and the combination worked well. The ground conditions were challenging and the sub soiling worked well, the only challenge was the lack of turf cutter which resulting in the surface grass turning over which required replacing manually. Hope this is helpful, overall the pipe layer does what it says on the tin. Excellent product and good value for money
OK the order was from across the pond (well Ireland to England) so I expected a bit of a delay in delivery, but no - near as anything exactly 24 hours order to receipt - don't know how they do it. Product itself significantly cheaper that other comparable (probably the same product so well happy.

It has saved me a lot of money not paying a contractor
I bought the Winton pipe layer for a specific job, and it has definitely fulfilled that purpose. It was used to lay 20mm MDPE water pipe approx 80 metres under a gravel driveway, and through a further 10 metres of grass field. It was attached to the 3-point linkage on my ancient MF135 tractor. The drive was quite solid, with a few buried stones and bricks, so I had to run the pipe layer blade through that a couple of times before actually laying the pipe. Once that was completed, the final pipe-laying phase went very smoothly, so all-in-all I am very happy with the machine, and it has saved me a lot of money not paying a contractor. Therefore I would give the machine 5 out of 5,
Very happy with the pipe layer. Has taken the hard work out of the task.
It was perfect
I laid 1.5 kilometers of 32mm &25mm plastic pipe and once we got use to feeding the pipe inand not getting hands trapped it was perfect
Great product

It’s great quality - does the job it’s meant for and frankly can even double as a subsoiler at a push. A great purchase thanks!

Super value and great quality. ?
Quality product and at great price too.
The Pipe Layer worked like a dream, exactly as described and hardly visible when we had finished, which by the way was a remarkably quick job. A superb piece of kit which I am sure will come in handy time and again.
Very pleased with the strength and design
We had to adapt the fittings slightly to fit our tractor, but it worked like a dream, exactly as described and hardly visible when we had finished, which by the way was a remarkably quick job, including digging the holes! a superb piece of kit which I am sure will come in handy time and time again.
