Lay down a close, lawnmower-style finish on football pitches, cricket outfields, golf roughs and school grounds. The Winton W‑FM120 gives groundskeepers a 1.2m cut where access is tight - built for compact tractors that can't pull the wider siblings on the run.

DescriptionWhy buy the Winton W‑FM120 Finishing Mower?
The smallest in Winton's W-FM finishing mower line, the W-FM120 is built for sub-compact and small compact tractors in the 16–30 HP bracket. It cuts a 1.2m path with a rotary, lawnmower-style action — the right tool for level, regularly maintained turf where a wider deck would be too much machine.
A close finish on maintained turf
Three blades driven by the PTO through two drive belts deliver the close, even cut you want on football pitches, cricket outfields, golf course roughs and amenity lawns. Clippings exit through a rear discharge and disperse evenly across the cut path. This is a finishing mower — keep it on grass that's already in good order.
Follows the ground, stays out of the way
The Cat 1 floating headstock lets the deck ride contours and gradients rather than scalping high spots. Lower link-arm extensions push the mower out behind the tractor so the deck stays clear of the rear wheels on tighter turns. Cutting height adjusts from 3.5 cm to 8 cm across four height-adjustable wheels, which also stabilise the deck for an even finish.
- 1.2m working width — the narrowest W-FM, suited to smaller tractors and tighter access points
- 16–30 HP tractor range — pairs with sub-compact and small compact machines
- 3.5–8 cm cutting range set via 4 height-adjustable wheels
- 3 blades with rotary cutting action, PTO driven through 2 drive belts
- Floating linkage with lower link-arm extensions to clear the tractor's rear wheels
- Rear discharge for even clipping dispersal across the cut
- Easy-access grease points for quick routine maintenance
- 178 kg, 130 × 130 × 75 cm overall

Review Your Winton W‑FM120
Purchased the Winton WFM120 in June 2024 and it is a good piece of kit, its been given a lot of use over the last 18 months and has proven to be very reliable
Great bit of kit
Great bit of kit, quick delivery,
Very pleased with this mower. It manages long grass well and copes with a faster ground speed than I was expecting. All in all very impressed.

Its use results in a good smooth cut
Generally I am happy with my Winton WFM120 1.2m PTO Finishing Mower. Its use results in a good smooth cut although it does not throw out the mown grass as well as I would like but this may be due to the contours of my garden. It is a good width allowing 2 people to comfortably walk side by side yet doesn't waste valuable planting space. I do struggle manhandling (girlhandling) it a bit when attaching it to my tractor linkage, I think this is due to the arm of the mower being solid with no movement and quite close to the wheels although I assume this is restricted by the width of the machine I use. On the whole I would give it a 4 out of 5.
I am very pleased with my Winton Mower
I am very pleased with my Winton Mower— it does the job I have for it. So that’s a plus. And yes, if someone has a similar use for it I would certainly suggest they get one.
The Winton is both quicker and a better cut
I can confirm that this machine has been awesome for our needs. I previously had a small tractor mower with belly machine and although this did the job quite adequately the Winton is both quicker and a better cut, so good that we even use this on our lawn area also. Our paddock area is partially on a slope and having previously owned a flail mower this is easier to control as the weight is supported on its own 4 wheels and with the tilt control on the tractor can easily be made to fit the slope, cutting without digging in to the ground. Maintenance has been low and the blades continue to cut evenly and properly producing a better lawn. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.
Works very well easy to assemble
The mower arrived yesterday, we gave it a good run and I am highly delighted with it, a great piece of kit for the money. Great build quality & simple to use.
The mower has been great. Many thanks to you all.
The machine does everything we wanted it to do
The machine does everything we wanted it to do we have 5 acres of grass land and with the roller attachment it looks great Many thanks with your prompt delivery as well
Excellent
This is a fabulous piece of equipment
I bought the machine to replace a flail collector that, although did a reasonable job, was way too heavy for the lawned finish that I was aiming for. I also bought the rear roller attachment that helped prevent the castor wheels doing any damage and the finish now is excellent. If I was being picky, I think that the blade alignment could be better as one of the blades cuts shorter than the other two but nothing major. I'd also like the ability to add a second roller to the front of the mower but understand that may not be ideal for everyone. All in all, I'm very pleased with the performance and considering the price point, this is a fabulous piece of equipment.
I would buy another one if I needed
The machine has worked well overall. Used it with the extension arms up until October 23 when the lower one snapped in two. Read the book and found it could run without them and it missed our tyres. The fingers on the back are all bent as operator reverses under bushes with it down and they get caught on the ground. Apart from these things I would buy another one if I needed. 4/5 just for the snapped arm.

Hi Nigel, thank you for the detailed feedback. I'm glad you're getting on well even after removing the extension arms - I've contacted you via email to help rectify the broken extension. It's best practice to raise the machine off the ground when reversing, but I understand why this hasn't been done when under bushes. An easy way to straighten the rear grass-dispersing 'fingers' is to close an adjustable spanner over the steel and make a firm but careful adjustment.
Well-made machine thanks
Very happy with my purchase
Used for three years behind a TEA20 Grey Fergie. ( but used an overrun clutch on the live pto) Had no issues, cuts well, tends to row up the clippings if grass is long but I just run over it all again to mulch it. Very happy with my purchase.
