DescriptionWhy buy the SCH DHTC Hollow-Tine Corer?
This hollow tine corer bolts onto the carrying frame in the same way as the aerator or slitter. The revolving discs fitted with hollow spoon tines delve into the turf surface to remove, on average, a 75mm (3") core. Removing cores from turfed areas allows air and water to have direct access to the root system. If lawn sand is applied, the core holes will fill with sand to give the maximum advantage to the root system.
The rear roller is lifted out of work for this operation.

I would give the Aerator a 5 star rating, for us having to maintain 3 x rugby fields the ability to quickly link up the equipment and slit and strip the field has been a game changer, the aerator and frame is a solid well made unit and easy to use.

Very sturdy and build quality is really good
Waveney FC purchased the SCH DSM2 Mounted Slitter in June and would just like to say that it’s a great piece of equipment. Very sturdy and build quality is really good. Would highly recommend. Will consider purchasing other attachments for this frame. With the amount of rain we have had this year, it’s been great to be able to slit the pitch as and when we need it done rather than pay a contractor. One note, I would get the stand for it for easier removal from tractor and storage. We wish we had ordered this.

The machine has been invaluable in improving the playing surface , making the surface safer for players. Slitting has also improved drainage preventing surface water staying on the playing surface. 5 out of 5, easy to attach to tractor.
Nothing is ever too much trouble. The team actually care about your specific requirements and make sure you are purchasing the correct tools for the job. We have a number of pieces of SCH equipment and following the extremely wet winter and spring they have all been put to good use, especially the turf care system - invaluable!
If I had one little gripe, I think the filter that you put into the water when extracting needs to be stronger than the plastic one it came supplied with. This unfortunately broke quite quickly / easily and have since sourced a stronger brass filter that does the job.
