Frontoni Fox Flail Blade Types

The Frontoni Fox is typically fitted with heavy-duty Y-Shaped blades, which allow you to cut driving forwards OR backwards, as the rotor direction is fully reversible.

"Duck foot" hammer-style blades are available for an additional cost.

Duck foot flails are best for smashing through old, woody growth, whereas Y-Blades are best for slicing new growth, grass, and leaving a neater finish.

What Happens if the Tractor Hedge Cutter Hits a Tree?

All Frontoni Foxs come with a "Mechanical Safety Impact-Prevention Device." This mechanism allows the hedge cutter to pivot backwards to help prevent damage to your hedge cutter and tractor, in case you accidentally hit the boom arm into a solid object.

All Frontoni Foxs come with a steel roller the entire length of the cutting head. Left-hand Cut for the UK Market

A hedge cutter must cut on the left-hand side to legally cut on UK roads. Our Frontoni Hedgecutters are always configured to cut on the left-hand side when sold in the UK. Inferior and Chinese imports cut on the right, and cannot be used on public roads. In addition, Frontoni machines hold their resale value especially well due to their cutting orientation.

Our Frontoni specialist will do all of the compatability checks for you, just get in touch. The main checks they will do are below:

• Your tractor must be within the recommended range.
• Your tractor must weigh more than the minimum recommended weight.
• The distance between your rear wheel centres must exceed the minimum recommended distance.

The compatibility checks ensure your tractor's stability and safety. The hedge cutter's cutting head will move the centre of gravity of your tractor to one side, and these checks help ensure that the tractor does not tip over.

The lever cable controls can be mounted inside your cab, to your Roll-Over Protection Structure (ROPS), or anywhere comfortable. The levers control each hydraulic ram, as well as the cutting head.

For customers without a closed cab, ROPS and using a helmet with a Stihl-style visor is required for safety. This can be provided free of charge; simply select this optional extra option on our website.
